Life, Design and Family

I have decided to start my blog. I have been thinking about it for the almost 2 years now, but I guess I am a chronic procrastinator! Hey, don’t judge!

What do I write about? That has always been my biggest dilemma! With literally millions of bloggers scattered throughout the web, what literary content could I provide that would make any difference in the world? Really? I am your average guy, and average is really not what people are looking for online; it has to be unique and original! (Sheesh… no pressure!)

Needless to say, I read (actually skim!) a lot of blogs, mainly designers and tutorial sites where I try to learn more about how to be a better designer. Yes, I am another designer with a blog! Like the Internet needed another curated site that regurgitates other designer’s content! No offence to those that have curated design sites and the such, as I probably follow a lot of them, I just hope I can do better than just copy and paste.

Forgive me if this sounds somewhat of cliché, but I really do love design. For as long as can remember, I have been drawn to the arts, whether it be fine art, dance, music whatever! I love it.

As a teenager in high school and in my gap year, I would read a magazine called Graphis. It was this very large magazine that featured full colour images of the work of graphic designers, artists and photographers from around the world, that inspired me to pursue my career in design. It has been a rocky road but here I am.

I was mesmerised by the images found on those pages and longed to one day have the skill that was displayed by the artists in those pages. So, you have an idea what kind of content to expect from my next posts. That too, I expect, is going to be bumpy ride!
